Awright You Prims!

Temporal Navigator
Greetings again from your dystopian future nightmare!

I see theres been an outpouring of grief about my absence from these boards, considering I'm the funniest, zarsiest, most original, 20th century punk rockingest and certainly the sexiest (bio-enhanced for a coupla mil korvaks anyway) of all the time travellers, pretend time travellers, obvious frauds and virgin bedwetter types (NB chronohistorian)

I've been back to my own time for a while, took back some screen prints off the hilarious computer systems you prims use for my futsies to gnarf at, God's death you're a prexarc bunch aintcha?

We all found Creedo's stuff bemusing and amusing - and lo and behold I get back and he's still rambling incoherently like some kinda frengshae! Keeeeeeeeerrrazeee!

Anyway dunno what all this zmerz is about Canadian walls and [censored], kinda got meefrayed on the whole thang, incidentally looks like the shallow wellspring of ideas that was Chronohistorian's tiny enfeebled mind has finally dried up although is he now going by the name of 'Rhudey'? C'mon anyone using a Chrono-quote as a sig is either a total zetnatz or the 13 year old non-prodigy himself??

Laters you menstets

dave,

Q: You seem to speak the language so here's the question: What shaika invented the oh, so he polezny Nadsat yahzick, my nadmenny droog?

Ren,

Good.

The answer is Anthony Burgess. He invented the language for his novel (and the movie) "A Clockwork Orange."

Dave is simply "borrowing" his teen-talk from "A Clockwork Orange".

Maybe Dave is actually "Dim." /ttiforum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ha ha, not all of it though my droogy little namsat I think you'll find
Show me where all ov my 'slang' is lifted from that ancient text if you will?

Dave, the future boy who dances on yr gravez

Officer Dim,

You obviously didn't borrow your entire vocabulary from Burgess because he didn't construct a complete language. He penned several nouns and adjectives but not a 50,000 word lexicon.

But it was a high school modern lit. lesson recently assigned to you. You read the book - or viewed the movie - and you were hooked. We understand how high schoolers get caught up in "cool" fads. You figured that it's a 43 year old book and a 34 year old movie and no one would figger it out.

Hmmm..., U.C. Santa Barbara, 1974, Drama 246 "History of American Cinema", Darby's upper division fine arts requirement satisfied. Term paper required. Subject: Director Stanley Kubrick; Films: "2001 - A Space Odyssey" and "A Clockwork Orange".
