Are those speeds necessary?

I have seen some replys and figured out, "they all think that you have to go past the speed of light to break the time barrier". Well i read a book and i found out that the scientists put an atomic clock on the ground and one on a concorde aircraft
and when the concorde landed, previously travelling at mach II, the atomic clock on the concorde measured a small difference from the one on the ground, of course the differences are only in the nanosecond range.
