The ALIENS movie franchise is one of the best...
They tried something new and took on a different angle in new situation every time...
But he was not crazy about Aliens 3 or Aliens 4...
HIS SOLUTION:
At the end of the Aliens movie 2, one of James Camerons best, Ripley is put to sleep in a hiberation chamber...
This happened twice as the movies big twist climax...
HOW DO YOU RESTART THE FRANCHISE:
Have Ripley wake up in Alien 5, movies Alien 3 and Alien 4 were all a dream based on long term induced hibernation...
Sigourney Weaver can play Ripley as her present self with her present day look and age...
<Still looks great...

Dark Horse Comics had some interesting ideas for how the ALIENS and Ripley returns to the EARTH...
But you could go in any new direction...
But then again they are doing something similar in ALIENS vs PREDATOR 2...
