Embracing bumbling adventures with a quack-tastic!
This article was posted on the site's Facebook page. It discusses how scientists were able to tweak a mouse's genes in order to "extend the life of the mouse with an accelerated aging condition and successfully promote recovery from an injury in a middle-aged mouse." They go into saying that the tweaks to the genes basically make adult cells turn back into embryonic cell states and promotes the growth of "rejuvenated cells". They are hoping that this can eventually be recreated in humans which would allow for basically the reprogramming of cells that reverse aging.
I think that this is very interesting research. This would not be just a cosmetic reversal but every cell in the body would be effected essentially if this works.
Here is the article: Aging Is Reversible--at Least in Human Cells and Live Mice
What do you all think? Pros/Cons?
