a theory about space particles causing time dialation

THEORY: Space is made of particles just like a book is made of atoms. These particles are much smaller than quarks. When matter touches a space particle, it is absorbed like matter absorbes energy. Space particles can also absorb energy. It is then kept there like an electron keeps a photon for a very short time. It doesn't change at all when it's in there so time appears to stand still(in that 1 place) while matter is in the space particle. The matter then exits the space particle. It moves around until it is absorbed again. Time only *appears* to go by when matter isn't in the space particle. Faster moving objects touch space particles more often. This causes time to slow down more and more but never to a complete halt. That would require you to go infinite speed because there is space between the space particles(unless they are pushed together by the matter). If they were pushed together, then the fastest speed possible could be C. That is total BS. If you send electrons too fast through atoms, the atoms will break apart. The same is true for space. It will be torn apart if you go near C. Any speed is possible.
THE POINT: Time is linear. It only appears to change with speed.

Please remember that this is a THEORY. I am not saying it is true. Lamers need not reply. You will be ignored.

I agree with your LAST point on the liniarity of time and it's relative rate/velocity ration, however your "space particles" are elusive to me. Could you elaborate? Are you implying an as yet unknown quanta or perhaps something else entirely like a sub-atomic aether?

Re:Re:a theory about space particles causing time dialation

I am saying that space has mass.

I like your theory it is similar to one I have, except you are separating the space particle and matter. Matter may be just a collection of these "space particles". The space particles themselves would not exist but only exist as matter when combined together. Therefore matter moving thought space would not be gaining and losing "space particles", but would be space itself contracting and expanding around a central point.

Picture a 3D web of rubber bands. Matter would be like a group of bands contracted together. If the collection of "intersections" continuously gained and loss intersections it would appear to be in motion. If this gain and loss were random the matter would appear to vibrate. While if the net sum of gain from one side was greater than the net loss from the opposite side the mass would appear to move.

The fastest matter could move would be limited to the speed, in which space could contract or expand. That limit would obviously be related to the speed of light. Forcing a large object faster than this limit could possibly tear it. It may be possible for a single intersection or small number to skip through space and thereby travel faster than light.

Although this has nothing to do directly with time travel I think it is interesting.

Re:Re:Re:a theory about space particles causing time dialation

Isn't that a contradiction in terminology?

Re:Re:Re:Re:a theory about space particles causing time dialation

I couldnt think of a better way to say it. I meant space is made of something.
