I loved it, and to understand all of the details to be honest you must see it twice.
But saying it's a story related to Titor story it's taking a shortcut, just because the theme is time travel . Dark and John Titor story has nothing in relation. But maybe in the future someone would make a serie from John Titor saga, that would be great.
