Cosmo 192
Hey everyone, On Friday evening I'll be taking the forums offline for about 12 to 24 hours to perform a big upgrade on the site. Until that time, you'll see some things being shuffled around and a bunch of crazy categories popping up This is to prepare for the update and make the process smoother and faster on my end. Please excuse the chaos until then. If you're curious about the upgrade, here's a few. things to check out: https://timetravel.institute/home/ Much like the one we had, but everything is integrated with one another. https://timetravel.institute/articles/ This replaces the "blog" we had on the frontend of the site for a while. All members will be able to submit articles, and existing threads can be converted to an article with the click of a button. https://timetravel.institute/forums/ The core forums will return to their roots and provide a simpler structure. https://timetravel.institute/clubs/ Non time travel forum categories will become "clubs". Think of these like subreddits or Facebook groups. Each club can contain one or more forum categories, galleries, calendars, download sections and even its own chatroom. Members will be able to create their own clubs. https://timetravel.institute/hall-of-fame/ There's a lot of great stories out there, and we're building a system to help separate the wheat from the chaff. This section is editable by all members and will evolve into a "time travel wiki". https://timetravel.institute/ttidb/index.html/ After years of screwing around, the TTIDB is finally coming to fruition. Members may submit and edit books, movies, TV series/episodes, tabletop games and video games. There's some other stuff to show later, but these are the important bits. I plan on taking the site offline around 6PM EST and I hope to have things back online and ready to roll around 3PM the next day, but it may not take that long.

Cosmo 192
I did a test migration and it worked perfectly... So why not just roll with it? Check out the announcement stuck to the top of the site for the details. I'll be able to spend the weekend working on improving the site instead of sitting through a long migration again ?
Einstein 323
I'm not seeing the New Post button. Will that be fixed?
PaulaJedi 673
@Einstein You need to go into a "club", choose "Topics" then "Start a new topic". 1 www.microsingularity.net

I just double checked on my test account - You should be able to create posts and threads wherever it would make snense. If it's still not working, can you private message me with screenshot of what you're seeing? Here's a few of what I see in the main forums with my test account:
Cosmo 192
Also, be glad you were here on the day I typo'd the site's logo: @Classicalfan626 just told me... Not sure how I missed that. LMAO! 1
Einstein 323
Just to make sure you know what I'm talking about. I usually visit the forum and click on the forum category at the top of the page. A drop down menu appears. "New Posts" is one of the selections. I usually click on that to read all posts since my last visit. But today the drop down menu doesn't appear. Cosmo 192
Aha! Makes sense now. We're on a new software, so finding unread/new stuff is a bit different. Try here: https://timetravel.institute/discover/ This will show you an activity feed of everything that's happening on the site. https://timetravel.institute/discover/unread/ This will show you content you haven't read yet Between the two of those, one of them probably gets you what you want. If you want to get nuts, you can also make your own feeds: https://timetravel.institute/discover/?do=create Edit: KerrTexas for the win with the faster reply ?
