You can\'t jump through time.
Say we manage to build a time machine. If we go back in time, then we wouldn't just appear there. We would have to go day by day backwards, much in the same way we go forwards. If you decided to go back in time, say in downtown Manhattan, you would just be standing there from the time you started at to the time you are going to. You would probably get robbed and shot a few times. And you would also be the talk of the town because you would be the "man who doesn't age". Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to respond to them, so you would be labled dumb, deaf, and blind. In other words, you would have to go somewhere in the middle of nowhere, where no planets, comets, etc. might endanger you.
