Some quick questions on Titor, Skeptic? Maybe...

Ok, just a couple of quick questions...

1) Would, by default of him being from the future, especially with all said radiation, have advanced strains of bacteria, so wouldn't he have basically killed a vast amount of anyone around him?

2) He refers to the Y2K problem, or at least as most think, and says it like Pearl Harbor never getting attacked, so wouldn't that mean that in his timeline something did happen and therefore affect his timeline, not ours?

3) Why would he have to come back here for the IBM? They have the technology to make a time machine but not a lousy old computer?

Ok, what about the code in the computer? Code is like logic (to anyone who knows anything about computer coding) if you know the logic you know the code... therefore if someone would need it break down code, by studying the code of that time they would be able to create a program to break it down, right?

4) The pictures he took of his time machine, all so low res. ... the only thing I know that could be that bad on the computer would be a Kodak picture disk, and if said technology is that much better in the future, then why would he be using a picture disk? Why not use the technolgy from his own time instead of technology from 2000?

5) Has anyone simply pinged the address where these messages were coming from and found out who it was? I mean, I know at least one person must have, so what did you find?

One last thing, has anyone thought that his name could be an anogram or something? Maybe a physicist that thinks little of people, just wanted to have some fun... Did anyone check to see if the time travel information supplied was available anywhere else? or gotten a theoretical physicist to verify this whole theory?

People might just listen because they want to, the future seems a likely candidate so they think 'what the heck, why not' and just follow... for that matter, I live right next to JFK airport, how do I know that a missile is not heading for me right now? I don't, and if someone said that there was, I might even believe it; Because I want to think the worst, sometimes you need to for your own safety, but thats only on a rare occasion. I have a friend who writes amazing screenplays, he wrote one about the Holocaust; it was so moving and touching BUT, it was entirely fictionoal... I wanted to believe that it was real because for something so touching to happen it would be beautiful and a tragic, yet honorable story... but it was all lies, you might not want to call it that, but in essence it is. So how do we know this John Titor is not just a convincing writer?

I guess that’s it for now, but more will definitely follow…

EDIT: If following the 'sliders' theory as seen in the IRC logs, then in theory, eh could never return to his own timeline... thats why sliders could never work, and was just a TV show, unless you could somehow choose, and know, wich timeline you were going into... and even according to his own words, he was yers behind that technology anyway, so whats up?

This must be the most common question on these boards, its all ive seen so far. "Why hasn't anyone checked his IP address. Someone must have".

In a chatroom, no one would have because their too busy in a conversation.

On the forums... there is no IP address... or the IP address is hidden. Which is why we could not check out his IP address. If it were that easy, we would have had it figured it out already. It wouldn't take 3 years like it has. Trust me on that. If you want to give it a shot, go ahead and look at the old Titor posts. Their on this forum.

the admin of a board can very easily look up ip addresses of its users. nothing hard and compicated, simple hit of a button.

spoofing ip addresses is complex and VERY hard to do, and should he have the knowledge of how to do this he wouldn't need an old IBM.

also, did it ever occur to any of you that Titor can't be proven a hoax? even if his predictions do not come true, they can just say, "we're on another wordline where it doesn't happen like that."

people need to realise that mental conditions can cause people to make up elaborate stories, even believe it themselves, and tell it to anyone who listens. their stories won't even contradict themselves, and unless you are personally involved with the person from the beginning you would be led into believing them.

on an off note, the majority of americans are not the intelligent, complex people that others would imagine them to be. let's face it, politicians that appeal to peoples emotional attatchments do much better than ones that focus on issues (in several cases).

SadOne,

<<1) Would, by default of him being from the future, especially with all said radiation, have advanced strains of bacteria, so wouldn't he have basically killed a vast amount of anyone around him?>>

We've discussed the problem of alien bacteria and virii. If he's from the future, 36 years from now, he would be bring along strains of bacteria and virii that would have naturally mutated without the radiation. So, yes, he would be a possible vector for new diseases against which we would have no defense.

<<2) He refers to the Y2K problem, or at least as most think, and says it like Pearl Harbor never getting attacked, so wouldn't that mean that in his timeline something did happen and therefore affect his timeline, not ours?>>

That's probably one of those questions that can't be answered. He didn't give sufficient information to make any judgments about it. Y2K wasn't a problem and was never going to be a problem in the sense that Gary North said that it would be. It shouldn't be a problem for him either.

<<3) Why would he have to come back here for the IBM? They have the technology to make a time machine but not a lousy old computer?>>

It was a silly premise for justifying a time trip, wasn't it. Add to it a private vacation and it becomes really weird.

<<Ok, what about the code in the computer? I think that you've already answered this question yourself. He says that he comes from a world that has the computing power to build a time machine that incorporates micro-computers so powerful that they can simultaneously manage the containment of two black holes; manage and manipulate extreme curvatures of spacetime; form and manipulate a wormhole; run a gravity sensor that can detect and discriminate the gravity signature of Earth from a distance of 60 light years thought a black hole's gravity field - but they need to time travel to 1975 to be able to decode legacy Unix. There's a bit of a mismatch in abilities there. They have Albert Einstein running the physics lab and Fred Flintstone running the software development lab.

<<4) The pictures he took of his time machine, all so low res. ... the only thing I know that could be that bad on the computer would be a Kodak picture disk, and if said technology is that much better in the future, then why would he be using a picture disk? Actually that's probably not illogical. Though it appears that from day one he planned to post his photos it possible that he wasn't issued a camera. It's not likely that a real soldier who planned to maverick his mission and go AWOL would requisition a camera for his illegal vacation plans.

<<5) Has anyone simply pinged the address where these messages were coming from and found out who it was? I mean, I know at least one person must have, so what did you find?>>

He was quite coy about revealing any email addresses. And he used Hotmail-type email. If he was being truthful when he said that he had had "numerous online discussions" there should be people other than Pamela who participated in them. So far they have not appeared.

Well not really, IP spoofing is quite easy to do......

Re: On Pamela\'s dancing ability:

As said on the 2017 questions:

As said in your original paragraph, on her becoming verilog, of course she will do this, there was never any factual romantish interpla'den, at least not said to me.

Why did you become involved with her to begin with?

Look up Protocols of the Elders of Zion, The people who invented it said it was a hoax, the king t was made for said it was a hoax, yet there are thousands today who still believe it to be true.

Thats one of about 1000 different cases... I could list dozens of them if people want me to...
IMHO, Titor is just another one of these cases...
