I firmly believe that time travel is only possible in one way - the future. Acording to the theory of relativity, a grown man with children can travel a considerable distance at nearly the speed of light, returning to find his children are then mature adults. He has, thus, traveled forward in time many years, although "time" for him was only several months, approximately, of course. He can't magically return to his own time, but he could certainly travel at nearly light speed again and go further INTO the future. It's definitely possible!

There's also the example of the three men and a dog in a rowing boat, making way to the shore of a lake. If the dog jumps out of the boat and paddles ahead of the boat, it gets there before the boat and its remaining occupants.

It seems to me I've heard the one about the three men and a dog in a boat.

The three men are a priest, a rabbi, and a minister. When the dog gets to the shore, he turns around and says....

...(unfortunately I've forgotten the punch line). /ttiforum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

One second thought, the three may be an American, a Frenchman, and an Englishman. /ttiforum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I know what you mean. Here's the one about the man who always wanted to meet the pope. He goes to Rome and stands outside the Vatican. The pope comes out on a walkabout, and right away, walks across, passes right by him, and starts talking to a tramp (hobo) sitting on the pavement (sidewalk)
The man thinks, 'I haven't come all this way for nothing. I'll buy the clothes off the tramp (hobo). Then he's sure to talk to me.' So next day, he's standing there in the tramp's (hobo's) clothes. The pope comes out again on a walkabout. He walks straight across to him and says...'Didn't I tell you to f..k off?'

Interesting theories, some of them. The rest is just fantasy or plain wrong. Also the thing about black hole because that assumes that black holes (as originally described) really exist. Rather than what I heard myself that the infinite mass thing is simply based on a mathematical error nobody seemed to challenge.

    Uhm ok I see

I read this on a french YT channel about UFOs, that: Magnetic field + gamma rays can be used to create a circulating light beam that distorts or loops time, which can lead to a twisting of space and time. Looks like what R.Mallet working on it. What's your thoughts on this?
