Imagine, a tube magnetically charged. In this tube you have a transport device which also is magnetically charged(I HOPE YOU'RE STILL FOLLOWING ME HERE). So now you have a floating object inside the tube. What if you'd change the magnetic charge of the tube so that you create a thrust. If you'l change the magnetic charge so fast, with the speed of light for example, you have created an object that moves with the speed of light. If one would do this expirement in a place which has a zero gravity surrounding, like space, you have an on-gowing thrust. Therefore one can travel with the speed of light.

Most planets in the solar system already have such bubbles
-- they're called magnetospheres. Earth's magnetosphere is an
extension into space of the familiar magnetic field that causes
compass needles to point North. Our planet sits at the heart
of the bubble, which occupies a volume at least 1000
times greater than Earth itself. The magnetosphere protects us
from solar wind gusts and from potentially deadly solar flares.
Without it, Earth might be as barren as Mars or the Moon, two
worlds without magnetospheres.

Currently,...Scientists from the University of Washington and
NASA are experimenting with miniature magnetospheres as an innovative
form of space transportation.

1) there's no such thing as a magnetic charge, unless you've miraculously found some way to generate monopoles, which you haven't.
2) ever heard of the Superman ride? it's that one that flings a car up a ramp at 100 mi/h. It uses electromagnetic thrust of roughly the same type as you suggest. Yet, it doesn't go the speed of light. EM-accelerated matter behaves just like all matter everywhere - you can't accelerate a massive object to the speed of light.

Hey time02112 do you get the "nature" magazine? (international weekly journal of science.)
there is an interesting article about the magnetosphere on page 42 of the nov.2 ,2000 issue. sorry dont have time to post more right now.

JANUS:]"1) there's no such thing as a magnetic charge, unless you've miraculously found some way to generate monopoles, which you haven't"

Brilliant deduction Mr. Scientist, and just what authourity, or basis of mathmatical equations gives you such insight to know for a fact that we "T.A.P.-T.E.N. Research Foundation" have "NOT" "found some way to generate monopoles" as you so elequently stated? And exacty "Who's" math do you plan to apply to prove this as an Impossibility?

...I got news for you pal,...
"We HAVE!, matter of fact we have done such a good job at "PROVING" it, we have received Financial backing by a Venture-Capital Corp. willing to invest money into this, and they are planning submission of our documentation of this generator to the U.S. Patent Agencey in Wash. D.C.!!

Oh well, before putting the "Cart Before The Horse" you perhaps should make sure you've paid more attention to your homework next "Time" (LoL)

Dear Time02112,

I thank you for your input on magnetic monopoles. Stanford once reported the possible detection of monopoles years ago and if I remember correctly there is an equation from elementary physics which uses magnetic charge:

***Force = M*p(sub 1)*p(sub 2)/R^2

p(sub 1) and p(sub 2) represent magnetic charge. I used M to represent the constant for the magnetic force although I can't remember the actual letter used; and R represents radius of course. This is comparable to the Electric force equation:

*** Force = k*q(sub 1)*q(sub 2)/R^2

k is the constant for the electric force.

*************k = 9.0 * 10^9 N*m^2/C^2(Newton-meters squared divided by coulombs squared)

************M=1.0 * 10^-7 N*s^2/C^2 (Newton-seconds squared divided by Coulombs squared)

It was by dividing k/M that the square of a velocity was found from these equations:

***********k/M = 9.0 * 10^16 m^2/s^2

The square root of this is 3.0 * 10^8 m/s or 300,000 kilometers per second. I wonder what travels that fast and why it would involve electric and magnetic forces?

(Say! Wasn't light found out to be an electromagnetic wave which is a transverse wave with electric and magnetic fields at right angles to each other?)

Without magnetic charge, how did we discover any of this?

Mass cannot exist at the speed of light. It just keeps spreading out flat as it approaches that speed, and slowing down.

The only place you can travel at the speed of light or beyond it is on Star Trek.

Hyperspace is another matter altogether and travel through that is possible if you know the short cuts.

You Earthlings make everything so complicated when it is so simple.

Meet you at the Alderson Point.

Interesting theories, some of them. The rest is just fantasy or plain wrong. Also the thing about black hole because that assumes that black holes (as originally described) really exist. Rather than what I heard myself that the infinite mass thing is simply based on a mathematical error nobody seemed to challenge.

I read this on a french YT channel about UFOs, that: Magnetic field + gamma rays can be used to create a circulating light beam that distorts or loops time, which can lead to a twisting of space and time. Looks like what R.Mallet working on it. What's your thoughts on this?
