# Energy derived from gravity

It is strange how the most adundant energy is right below us, yet no one knows how to use it.
Take an object that is spinning through space for millions of years, and it still continues to have the same energy to continue to move the same way.

Is that to say that the gravity of earth itself is keeping us from building an energy device that replicates earth itself?
If the earth moves around the sun, then is the sun expelling the energy needed to move the earth around it? Is the earth's energy moving itself around the sun?
Is it a combination of the earth and the sun locking itself into an infinite path of energy?

Why are we looking to expel energy from a source? 2 magnets of egaul fields have enough energy to push themselves apart... while a spring holds enough energy when coiled to expand rapidly.
These are all natural sources of energy that can easily be harnessed into a device that can direct that energy.

A car engine is primitive in which it expels energy to create energy. This part push this part, which turns this part, which rotates this part, which turns this part, and so on and so forth... yet the original source of the energy is being wasted because it has to move so many parts.

Not only that but you have to create enough force to expel enough energy to go against the strongest force known to man, and that is gravity.

You tell me...

Everything in the universe is relative to everything else.

Base all of your study on that fact, use what knowledge of relativity that we currently possess, and do not dismiss ANYTHING the equations tell you.

->Everything in the universe is relative to everything else.
Relativity is relative itself then

It's a good concept, but do you have any idea the amount of energy is needed for time travel!?

To accelerate a ten-ton payload to 99.9% of the speed of light requires an energy expenditure of ten billion billion joules, equivalent to humanity's entire power output for several months!

That's true it would take a lot of energy, unless you are in a different frame of reference. Read my article named "I thought of a way to time travel! w00t!" and then you'll understand. commandersisko

"It's a good concept, but do you have any idea the amount of energy is needed for time travel!?"NatePhish

He never even mentioned time travel, he was just talking about a new form of time travel.

I can see where energy gravity conversion, might produce some amount of power.

I'm not sure, do you really look at it that way?

It is strange how the most adundant energy is right below us, yet no one knows how to use it.

Gravity is used as the principle behind hydro-electric plants. Water falls due to gravity, pushes turbines creates electricity.
Or due you mean harnessing gravity waves or something? If so you would need some sort of material or some sort of device which is directly affectly by these waves in order to even begin how to understand how to turn it into a viable power source. I don't mean things that fall down! I mean something which changes state when exposed to different levels of gravity.

Why are we looking to expel energy from a source? 2 magnets of egaul fields have enough energy to push themselves apart...

Two magnets of equal fields repel to reach a state of equilibrium. Think about it, you are using energy to create this repulsion. You are pushing the magnets!

while a spring holds enough energy when coiled to expand rapidly.

Once again. Energy is required to coil the spring. No energy is created.

A car engine is primitive in which it expels energy to create energy. This part push this part, which turns this part, which rotates this part, which turns this part, and so on and so forth... yet the original source of the energy is being wasted because it has to move so many parts.

A basic combustion engine is primitive yes. The extra 'parts' are actually there to make it more efficient. eg to conserve the amount of fuel needed to combust!

Hope some of that helps...
James

The entire power output of all human technology for a several months? That is not actually a great deal. If you look at power output of the human race today, and compare it to two hundred years ago, you will see that in another two hundred years such levels of power production will likely be available in very small generators (relative to the combined size of all current power genderators on the planet today).

I don't see why this level of power generation will not be possible in devices small enough to use as spaceships.

However I do not believe that pushing a vehicle to close to the speed of light will ever be a viable form of space travel. At that rate it would take four years or more to reach only the nearest star. Infinite energy is required to go any faster.

Gravity manipulation on a very fundamental level, where time and space are distorted to very high values, will enable the type of wormhole travel required to reach distance space, and distant times for that matter.

I don't believe it will be necessary to approach the speed of light to achieve this type of gravitational manipulation. Science will find the means to manipulate gravity (and therefore space/time) while the "spacecraft" remains stationery.

I would totally agree with you Vampyr. I've been working on just what you are thinking for over 5 years now. I am close....soon I will accomplish the goal of harnessing the "force" of gravity! My largest obsticle is trying to get this device manufactured.
:D

Hi anyone saw this one with Tyson
?
• L LeoTCK:
Interesting theories, some of them. The rest is just fantasy or plain wrong. Also the thing about black hole because that assumes that black holes (as originally described) really exist. Rather than what I heard myself that the infinite mass thing is simply based on a mathematical error nobody seemed to challenge.
• Mylar:
Uhm ok I see

Titor bless you.

I read this on a french YT channel about UFOs, that: Magnetic field + gamma rays can be used to create a circulating light beam that distorts or loops time, which can lead to a twisting of space and time. Looks like what R.Mallet working on it. What's your thoughts on this?
