Japanese Scientists will try 2 create new universe

While Stephen Hawking contemplates the future of our existence, other scientists are taking some concrete steps toward ensuring it--such as creating another universe.

Arstechnica notes that Japanese physicists are apparently serious about an experiment to create a "baby universe" in the lab. As nutty as it may sound, the project is based in part on an established phenomenon known as the Higgs field--which, as everyone knows, involves such elements as false vacuums and Z bosons.

So these Scientists if successful will be the Creator or "intelligent Designer" of the new universe created .... deep!

A radical new project could permit human beings to create a "baby universe" in a laboratory in Japan. While it sounds like a dangerous undertaking, the physicists involved believe that if the project is successful, the space-time around a tiny point within our universe will be distorted in such a way that it will begin to form a new superfluid space, and eventually break off, separate in all respects from our experience of space and time, causing no harm to the fabric of our universe.
