How do you feel about the improvement of space equipment? Some things make me think that they came to us from another time. Some from the future, some from the past. Here https://www.skyrora.com/blog/uk-space-news I read an article about installing new equipment, which should speed up the data transfer process. How likely is it that we will ever get instant data transmission over long distances? Is instant data transmission only possible for quantum communication? Or are there other ways?

My entire life, I felt like I've been waiting for something, but I don't know what it is. It used to be "I can't wait to get out of school" and then "I want to get married", etc. But now that I have everything, the feeling is still there. It's not the absence of God. I found him already. It's a general longing for something that I am clueless about. Is there something psychological about this? Time keeps ticking on and on. I'm now middle aged, yet I still have the feeling. Are humans waiting for death? I don't believe that's it, but, it is inevitable regardless. Has anyone else experienced this feeling?

Something that may come in handy during any age with computers, is "how would I go about covering my tracks?" There is a footprint that we all leave online. Pieces of information that can be used to track you down, if someone is determined enough. --You can never 100% get rid of your footprint, but you can minimize it in such a way that your chances of being found are much lower. If this is something people are interested in, I might make this a series. For now I'll discuss what someone would do if they knew absolutely nothing & wanted to start being more private / secure online. Internet Basics - VPN To send and receive communications on compute…

Elon Musk had a computer chip implanted into a pig's brain. He claims it is to help cure disease, but you can imagine bad people drooling at the thought of being able to control people this way. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2020/aug/28/neuralink-elon-musk-pig-computer-implant

Elon Musk's Starlink sounds pretty cool up front. He is going to release thousands of tiny satellites, all of which will orbit lower than traditional satellites, in an effort to provide high speed internet to the world. I appreciate this because I live out in the country and have one really sucky internet provider. The cost is going to be a flat $500 for the equipment, which you will own, and then $99 a month. The equipment fee is high, but the monthly fee is less than what I pay for mine. What about reliability? What happens when there is bad weather? This is the only part that worries me. Here is a link to it. It is being beta tested in some area…

62 Year-Old Snake Lays ‘Miracle Eggs’ The oldest snake in captivity – known only as 361003 – hasn’t been near a male python for two decades On July 23, a 62-year-old female Ball Python laid seven eggs despite having been separated from any male pythons for at least two decades. The manager of the St. Louis Zoo said that it is not unknown for Ball Pythons to produce without a mate, or even to reproduce asexually. Some snakes will store sperm in their bodies for ‘delayed fertilization.’ It is, however, unusual for this species of snake to lay eggs after they reach 60 years of age. Three of the eggs are at present in an incubator and two are being used for gene…

I got reminded about Jimmy Church when I was setting up the Twitter account for the site. Is he any good? I stopped listening to Coast to Coast AM years ago when Noory took over (I don't hate him, just not my thing) and haven't really stumbled upon anything that scratches that same itch. Pretty sure I tried listening a LONG time ago, but wondering if anyone else here listens and what they think. Maybe some kind of "watch party" can be set up here to talk about it while it airs?

The California peak’s striking presence and geological complexity have inspired many believers. There’s a well-known legend that says that somewhere deep beneath Northern California’s 14,179-foot-tall Mount Shasta is a complex of tunnels and a hidden city called Telos, the ancient “City of Light” for the Lemurians. They were the residents of the mythical lost continent of Lemuria, which met its demise under the waves of the Pacific (or the Indian Ocean, depending on who you ask) thousands of years ago. Lemurians believed to have survived the catastrophe are said to have settled in Telos, and over the years their offspring have been sporadically reported wandering around …

I will keep you updated about the hurricane here and will post photos and videos. It is sunny and breezy where I am at the moment, but I will start receiving an outer band from the north around noon. My windows are fogged up from the moist, tropical air. Fortunately, the eye remains off shore, but many will still experience flooding and wind damage, especially those on the coast where water from the ocean will be pushed ashore.

What are your thoughts concerning self driving cars? It seems that there will always be accidents until ALL vehicles are self driving. As long as you place human error into the equation, there will be fatalities, sadly. I really wouldn't trust them, yet. We are at such a primitive stage. Well, Elon Musk is, of course, putting his hand in the cookie jar. "I remain confident that we will have the basic functionality for level five autonomy complete this year," he said, as reported by Bloomberg. He's very confident he can do it. Thoughts? Read Michael Moorcocks books for years, many years ago. He had his characters all connected in a clever way , the hero's all connected through-out the multiverse. Michael also wrote the lyrics for Blue Oyster Cults, " Don't Fear the Reaper ". He also applied time traveling to several series of books. Such as, The Dancers at the End of Time. The main character, "Jherek Carnelian" , and his companions at the end of time are able to reanimate themselves, thus being immortal. Mind provoking and humorous, with Jherek being literal with new things. For instance, he has a fish tank, which is actually a battle tank that shoots fish out of the barrel. Or when asked b…

Randonauting is a way to turn the world around you into an adventure. Stemming from research of The Fatum Project, Randonautica was created to send a Randonaut outside of their day-to-day routine by using a quantum random number generator to derive a coordinate to journey to. Early results are showing there might be more to mind-matter interaction than we once knew. The Randonauts movement is a global phenomenon. We welcome all curious explorers! www.randonautica.com www.randonauts.com There is an app available havent tried it myself. Some here talk about it https://www.reddit.com/r/randonauts/

Search engines such as google may possibly be responsible for the slowness of forums. Even in "real life" when you ask a question, people say "just google it". I always have to mention that I prefer the thoughts and personal experiences of a human, not Google. Besides, there is TOO MUCH info on the internet -- so much that you can't tell what the truth is sometimes. Thoughts?

Before you had the internet the USENET existed in late 1970's. If the posts are archived they should exist. Does anyone know of a reader app that can access the archives? I went to YA News sites in 1990's and later. Thanks.

I have only just recently started reading up a little on radionics and don't know very much about it. Is anyone here familiar with this concept? I gather that it can be used for healing purposes and from some further reading I have done, can even be used to manifest desired outcomes in people's lives. I hope this is the correct forum to post this in, I wasn't quite sure which to choose.

I know this is irrelevant to the conversation, but I don't know where else to ask this. What is "trolling" anyway? I've seen that on a number of sites, but I have no clue what it means.

I am considering creating another You Tube channel, even though mine have failed in the past. I have videos of young gators doing things like eating fish. I also have many nature experiences to record on my property, including deer sightings. What would be more popular, a Florida Gator channel or a general nature channel? Or is YouTube already saturated and I am setting myself up for failure? I still want to monetize, but they will only allow you to make money if you have 1000 followers, I believe. Do people care about gators eating fish whole, or are we in a doom and gloom society where only shocking videos get watched? Frustration example: Someone posted…
